People Operations Manager
Founded in 2021 by Managing Director, Ashleigh Pinder, Xenia Recruitment launched its first office in Newcastle to fill the gap in the market for a staffing agency that solely focused on high calibre event and hospitality staff.
Xenia now operates across multiple locations in the UK and is a leading supplier to a range of high profile and prestigious clients.

We are currently seeking a People Operations Manager to join our head office in the North East and work closely with our Managing Director.

What the role will involve:
Constant recruitment of temporary workforce:
- Screening – reviewing CVs & job applications to assess initial candidate suitability and experience
- Interviewing/ Training – conduct group and individual interviews and induction sessions to further assess candidate skill set
- Candidate Selection
- Compliance – RTW checks, reference checks, industry required training
Staff Organisation & Scheduling:
- Liaising with clients to obtain and understand staffing requirements and to provide the best possible service
- Using our bookings platform to post available jobs
- Assessing which candidates are best suited for each client or event and are filled 100% of the time
- Providing candidates with all information for each job
- Sending timesheets to clients
Managing Large Temporary Workforce
- Maintaining relationships with team members so as to be able to place them into job roles more effectively
- Being the point of contact for team members to answer queries and to ensure they have the best possible experience with us
- Checking staff in and overseeing staffing for large events and venues
Payroll
- Ensuring all timesheets are sent to finance in a prompt manner
- Liaising with finance to ensure all payroll information is communicated
Hospitality Industry Knowledge
- Keeping up to date with changes in the industry
- Identifying potential new business and clients
The role will be based on 5 days out of 7, with the need for potential work/ on call duties outside of normal hours due to the nature of the business.
What we are looking for in our ideal candidate:
Previous Hospitality Management Experience – Experience with hospitality recruitment is advantageous but not compulsory
Pro-Active & Motivated – Have the capacity to manage your own workload and think ahead to ensure all work is completed to the highest standard
Thrive Under Pressure – Be able to manage multiple projects at once, create solutions and think on your feet to react quickly to client requests
Great People Skills & Communication – In order to build strong relationships with both clients and team members
IT Skills – Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel in particular) and have the ability to understand and use new IT systems
Full UK Driving Licence – You will need the use of your own car
